Located on Telegraph Avenue, across the street from the historic Fox Theater, Crybaby is easily accessible to the busiest area for nightlife and entertainment in Oakland. Booking genres across the board as well as opening the venue to local booking powerhouses, international brands and full service event planners, Crybaby alongside its sister venue Ceremony, will be coming with a unique aesthetic and brand, rare to the city and music industry.
Crybaby will be creating an all-inclusive, elevated space, full of diversity in both talent and patrons, with no frills and world class sound by a team well known and documented for it.

We are a 21+ venue at all times.
The only forms of Identification we are legally allowed to accept are:
- Current and valid US State Driver’s license
- Current and valid US state identification card.
- Current and valid military identification card
- Valid United States and Foreign Passports
Unacceptable forms of identification are:
- Valid identification cards that are expired, borrowed, stolen, forged or counterfeit.
- United States immigration identification cards.
- Birth certificates.
- School or work identification cards.
- Interim or temporary drivers license.
- Social Security cards.
- Check Cashing cards.
Our address is 1928 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA 94612. Nearest BART station is 19th St Oakland. Only street parking is available near the venue but we encourage ride sharing apps or public transportation.
Doors generally open one hour before show time, although this can vary from show to show. Please refer to our Calendar or social media pages for up to date entry info.
Smoking and vaping is only allowed on the outdoor patio at the back of the venue.

Luggage or large bags are not allowed to be carried inside the venue and must be coat checked upon entry. Purses may be subject to security search

Strobe lights, fog, haze, and loud music are common at our events and parties and sometimes their use is out of our control. If you have any serious medical light or allergy sensitivities to theatrical effects such as strobing lights or particle FX, please be aware that they may be in use as part of the production when planning your visit. Earplugs are available at the bar.

Professional photography, cameras or recording equipment such as SLR’s, lenses and lighting gear are prohibited. Non-professional photos are cool. Photos are ok within reason, but not to the point where it becomes disruptive to the crowd or performers. If you are attempting to film high-quality content for personal, commercial or promotional purposes, you must be authorized in advance.
